Before you begin
Nothing is required. There is no pre-meeting health questionnaire or preparation task. The coordinator gathers the relevant information during the conversation.
No. The coordinator helps organise information, identify priorities and define the desired outcome. Medical assessment, diagnosis, testing and treatment decisions are made only by an appropriately licensed doctor during a medical consultation.
Medical consultations are provided by independently practising doctors who hold the registrations and licences required for the jurisdiction in which they provide care. Each doctor is responsible for their own clinical decisions, recommendations, prescriptions where appropriate, and professional obligations.
The coordinator manages the programme, organises appointments and supports implementation of the agreed plan. The coordinator and non-medical specialists do not diagnose conditions or prescribe medication. Each professional works within their qualifications and professional scope.
Contact and administrative information is used by the programme team to arrange and coordinate the service. Clinical information created during a doctor’s consultation forms part of the doctor’s medical record and is maintained by the doctor or their medical provider in line with applicable privacy, confidentiality and record-keeping obligations. Information is shared with the programme team or other professionals only where necessary, permitted by law and supported by the appropriate consent.
